Of the hundreds of prophecies made in the Bible (both in the Old and New Testaments), every one to date has come to pass exactly as foretold. Based on this fact alone, we can rest assured that prophecies and promises made by God as documented in the Bible and yet to be fulfilled, will happen.
In many of our churches we have tried to divorce ourselves so completely from a works-oriented faith that we have embraced what many call “cheap grace.”
Battle that Wasn’t? Q. Why do you say Armageddon is “the battle that wasn’t” if everyone says it’s so awful? What makes it so bad?
We’ve always been “America-centric” and assumed the world revolves around us. So it’s quite a shock to learn we aren’t central to biblical prophecy.
Q. With respect, I am interested in why you say Amos 9:11 is a prophecy fulfilled in 1948 when James seems to be saying in Acts 15 that the gentiles coming to Christ was the fulfillment? I have not gotten an answer out of anyone who claims that Amos 9 is fulfilled in 1948. (Dr. B.)
