Globalism Shunned
The Christian Worldview

Q. I appreciated your definition of globalism. But, why do American Christians rebel against the idea of worldwide commerce? Why is this wrong? What is so evil about it?

Dubai Ports Example

Many United States Christians were unaware of the dangers of worldwide governance until the Dubai Ports World fiasco. This incident was the first time many Americans became aware that foreigners – sometimes hostile groups – are managing or buying pieces of the United States.

In this case, foreigners were going to manage our major ports across the country. Since 9/11 the potential danger or risk of having a few hostile Moslems involved in managing our infrastructure became obvious to many. In fact, there is still fear that our ports are vulnerable to terrorists who might smuggle in nuclear devices such as “suitcase nukes.” This is not an unfounded fear.

Come out of her…

Revelation 18 provides a clear description of a commercial Babylon which Christians are told to avoid. Verse 4 says, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues…” (NASB).

Merchants of the Earth

Verse 3 explains …”all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.”

View Dubai Photos

I suggest that all Christians view photos of Dubai in the Arab Emirates. This is a lavishly wealthy city filled with American businesses and families, extravagant architecuture and modern art. Some of the wealthiest corporations in the world “play” in this part of the world where there is favorable tax treatment for the rich. It reminds one of Revelation 18:3 where “kings of the earth have committed fornication with her” NKJV).

Global, financial Powerhouse

Furthermore, Revelation 13 warns readers to avoid the “mark of the beast” which enables everyone on the planet to conduct business – a global commercial system. This is a system whereby no one can own a business, make money, have a bank account, receive medical treatment, own property, or buy food without an I.D. mark.

“And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name” (Revelation 13:16-17, NASB).

I.D. Mark Prevents Theft

In our day it is easy to see how I.D. “chips” could be implanted in the skin to prevent I.D. theft. We are already having our animals “chipped” for identification purposes. We are already told that computer chips could contain our medical and financial records and could function as lifesavers in the case of kidnappings or accidents.

Yet, Revelation 14: 9 warns, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God…”

The Lord warns that those who take the I.D. mark will have “no rest day and night…whoever receives the mark of his name” (Rev. 14:11).

I.D. Chips acceptable Now?

This does not mean that any citizens today who receive an I.D. chip are following the evil antichrist. It just means that all of the nations are being “primed” to receive the mark of the beast when it occurs. Our current methods of I.D. implants will easily evolve into the antichrist’s method of global control over peoples and nations after he appears.

Global Governance Skepticism

For these reasons, Christians who know their Bibles and end times prophecy are leery of “global governance” – a new term for the New World Order mentioned by former President Bush Senior and other heads of state.

Knowledgeable Christians who are biblically literate believe that Americans should fight to protect their sovereignty and freedoms. Not to do so will cause the United States to succumb to a world machine which crushes its victims in the jaws of poverty and population controls.
